By downloading or using Interview AI, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Interview AI. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian. By using our service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
3. Free BYOK Software License
Interview AI is proprietary free-use software owned by Mohit Sagar. There is no subscription or payment to Interview AI. A free website account may be required to download the installer; the installed application runs on your local machine using API keys you provide from third-party AI services.

- You are responsible for any costs charged by your chosen AI provider for API usage
- We do not charge you, process payments, or store billing information of any kind
- All ownership, copyright, branding, and software rights remain with Mohit Sagar
4. API Keys & Third-Party Services
To use AI features, you must provide your own API key from a supported provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, OpenRouter, etc.). By using these services:
- You agree to the terms of service of your chosen AI provider
- You are solely responsible for your API key security and usage costs
- Interview AI stores your API key locally on your device using OS-level encryption
- We never transmit, log, or have access to your API keys
5. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use Interview AI only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
- Use the service to cheat, deceive, or misrepresent yourself during actual interviews
- Share API keys or local app access in a way that violates your provider terms
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the service
- Upload malicious code or viruses
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Use the service for any illegal or fraudulent purpose
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Harass, abuse, or harm others through our service
6. Intended Use - Practice Only
- Unethical and dishonest
- Potentially illegal in some jurisdictions
- A violation of these Terms
- Grounds for blocking access to any hosted download or support services we may provide
We strongly encourage ethical use of our platform for interview preparation only.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
Our Content
Interview AI, including its software, design, branding, features, website content, documentation, packaged builds, and related assets, is owned by Mohit Sagar and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by Mohit Sagar. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute our software or content
- Create derivative works based on our service
- Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, host, or commercially exploit the app
- Remove or alter copyright notices
- Use our trademarks without permission
Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you create or process using Interview AI. Because the desktop app is local-first, we do not claim ownership of your interview content, resumes, prompts, answers, or API keys.
8. Third-Party Services
Interview AI can connect directly from your device to third-party services you configure, including:
- OpenAI: AI language processing
- Deepgram: Audio transcription
- Other AI providers: OpenRouter, Anthropic, Gemini, Groq, xAI, Ollama, or compatible endpoints
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Service "As Is"
Interview AI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Accuracy or reliability of AI-generated responses
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- Results or outcomes from using the service
- Fitness for a particular purpose
AI-Generated Content
AI-generated responses are for guidance only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI responses. Always verify information and use your own judgment.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mohit Sagar shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Lost profits or opportunities
- Interview outcomes or employment decisions
- Data loss or security breaches
- Service interruptions or technical issues
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mohit Sagar and any authorized Interview AI contributors, contractors, or agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Your violation of applicable laws
11. Privacy and Data Security
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:
- Audio is processed in real-time and not stored
- We use encryption to protect your data
- We do not sell your personal information

- Abuse of the service
Because the desktop app is local-first and BYOK, we do not maintain a required user account for normal app use.
14. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Arbitration
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Interview AI shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Bangalore, India, in accordance with Indian arbitration laws.
Class Action Waiver
You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits.
15. General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Mohit Sagar regarding the service.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.
No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
